  • Topsoil is used for planting new grass seeds and building flowerbeds. Compost is used primarily as the top layer before laying sod, or soil enhancer, or for potting soil.

  • There is no way for us to separate the loads, and when the truck lifts its bed to dump, the loads will mix. We do not recommend this.

  • We appreciate as much notice as possible, but 24 hours is usually enough.

  • Nope. As long as you’re picking up within our posted business hours.

    That being said, for orders of more than 20 tons/yards, we do recommend calling ahead.

  • There is roughly 128 cubic square feet in 1 cord of wood.

    (width x height x depth) =  8 x 4 x 4 = 128 cubic feet.

  • The best possible time to purchase your firewood is in late spring or early summer to ensure it is fully cured and seasoned when the fall and winter seasons approach.

  • The best way to store firewood is off the ground, where it's harder for bugs to reach and firewood to rot. The optimal placement is between 6 inches and 1 foot off the ground and on a solid surface or rack.
